This is a list of industry related podcasts that I subscribe to. I have either linked to the parent page of the show or the generic RSS feed but they are all available in the iTunes podcast directory if you search for them by name:
FX Guide FX Podcast - interviews with leading people in the VFX industry that discus work, the business and new technologies
Mark Kermode is one of the BBC's film reviewers, and this film review podcast has been running for years now. Gentle chat and good reviews. I don't always agree with him, but I definitely take his opinions seriously.
Mike Seymour and guests discus the VFX from specific movies. Usually new releases, but sometimes older classics.
A podcast by Ian Failes from Befores and Afters in which he and a guest discuss the first time a particular effect technique was used.
nice! … recently started listening to Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo’s Film Reviews .. very addictive! I’m tempted to write Kermode an email about Stereo 3D! 😀
I wrote him quite a long e-mail about it a couple of years ago but they didn’t read it out. I did get a mention when I sent him a tweet saying that if he thought VFX were too easy to do I would like to see him try. He apologised the following week.
Have you read my post about why he makes me mad?
